This policy explains what BlueJay's Roofing & Roof Repair collects when you use this website, call us, text us or chat with us, and what we do with it. We're a family-run roofing company in King, NC. We use your details to answer you and do your job, and we don't sell them.
Who we are
BlueJay's Roofing & Roof Repair is the trading name of Bluejay's Unlimited, 3288 Coventry Forest Ln, King, NC 27021. "We", "us" and "our" in this policy mean us. "You" means anyone who visits this site or contacts us.
What we collect
We collect what you choose to give us, plus some basic information about how you use the site.
- Estimate and contact forms: your name, phone number, email, address, the service you need and anything you write in the message box.
- Chat: your name, phone number or email, and the messages you send through the chat window on the site.
- Phone calls: the number you call from, the time and length of the call, and which page or ad led you to call. Calls may be recorded so we can check what was agreed and train our team.
- Texts and emails: the messages you send us and our replies.
- Site use: pages you visit, how you got here (for example a Google search or an ad), your device and browser type, and a rough location based on your IP address. Cookies and similar tools collect this. It doesn't include your name unless you give it to us.
Don't send us payment card numbers, bank details or Social Security numbers through the forms, chat or email. We'll never ask for them that way.
How we use it
We use your details to get back to you and look after your roof. That means:
- Calling, texting or emailing you about your request, inspection, estimate and job.
- Writing up your inspection report and estimate and doing the work you approve.
- Following up after the job, and asking how we did.
- Sending you the occasional offer or seasonal reminder about our services. You can opt out at any time.
- Seeing which pages, searches and ads bring us customers, so we can improve the site and spend less on ads that don't work.
- Keeping records we need for warranties, accounting and the law, and keeping spam and abuse off the site.
Text messages
If you give us a mobile number, you agree that we can call and text you at that number about your request and your job, including with automated tools. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop texts and HELP for help. Agreeing to texts isn't a condition of buying anything from us.
We don't sell or share your mobile number or your consent to receive texts with anyone for their own marketing. The text-messaging details in this section are never passed on to third parties or affiliates for marketing.
Who we share it with
We don't sell your personal information. We share it only with the companies that help us run the business, and only so they can do that job for us:
- Our website host, Vercel, which runs this site and passes your form to our customer system.
- Our customer system, HighLevel (also called LeadConnector), which stores your request, runs the chat window and sends our texts and emails.
- CallRail, our call tracking service, which shows some visitors a tracking phone number and logs calls.
- Google, through Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics and Google advertising tools, which measure site visits and ad results.
We also share details when you ask us to, for example sending inspection photos and a damage report to your insurance company. And we share them if the law requires it, to protect our rights or safety, or if the business is ever sold, in which case the new owner keeps to this policy.
Cookies and tracking
Cookies are small files your browser stores. This site uses them for analytics, ad measurement, the chat window and call tracking. We don't use them to identify you by name.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site still works, though the chat window may not. You can opt out of Google Analytics with Google's browser add-on and change the ads Google shows you in your Google ad settings. Our site doesn't respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals.
How long we keep it
We keep your details for as long as we're talking with you about a job, for as long as your work is under warranty, and for as long as tax and business records require. Then we delete them or strip out anything that identifies you.
How we protect it
The site runs over HTTPS, so what you type in the forms is encrypted on the way to us. Only our team and the companies above can see your details. No system is perfectly secure, but if we ever learn that your information has been exposed, we'll tell you as North Carolina law requires.
Your choices
You can ask us at any time to tell you what we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop sending you marketing. Call, email or write to us using the details below. We may need to confirm who you are first, and we may have to keep some records the law or a warranty requires.
Children
This site is for homeowners and property owners. It isn't meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information. If you think a child has sent us details, contact us and we'll delete them.
Other websites
Links to Google, Facebook and other sites take you off our site. Their own privacy policies apply there, not this one.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your information, we'll update this page and the date at the top. Big changes will be clear on the page before they take effect.
